Dr. Joe Hernandez (Dubai)

Hello everyone! I’m Dr. Joe Hernandez. I the fourth of six children and my mother had me at the age of 21. My father was murdered when I was 9 years old. My family is too messed up to mention here, and I don’t want to embarrass any one. I “Fought” growing up what seems like everyone all the time. I wrestled with really bad drug and alcohol addiction and never want to face the experiences I had in those dark days again. I am more committed to learning, listening and leading others with encouragement to pursue their Destiny than you can imagine. This all happened when I gave the broken pieces of my life to Jesus Christ and he changed the story altogether. I will never forget how I was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. I graduated from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from the Pastors’ class. After that I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Church Leadership from Bethany University in Santa Cruz, California. Then I went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Theological Seminary in San Francisco, California in 1997. I earned a Doctorate Degree focusing on “Marriage Enrichment” from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I promise you I love my wife, son and daughter far beyond what you are used to. I have been in full time ministry since March 1995. I have been graced to minister in churches all over the US and several countries in conferences, camps, crusades, conventions and dozens and dozens of congregations.

Butch and Kathy Espe (Iraq)

Warren (Butch) Espe, and his wife, Kathy, met in the fall of 1977, at Christ for the Nations Institute, in Dallas, Texas, where they received their Associate Degrees in Practical Theology.  Though both felt called to the foreign field, they returned to Washington State in 1979, where Butch completed his apprenticeship to become a journeyman carpenter.
In the fall of 1984, the Espes were the first missionary family to be sent out of the newly established Word of Faith Center to help pioneer Youth With A Mission's (YWAM) first North American Urban Mission Center In New Orleans, LA, where Butch was involved with street evangelism and Kathy led the Child Evangelism Ministry.
In January of 1990, they left Louisiana to work with YWAM in Katmandu, Nepal.  Butch was involved with church planting while also hosting outreach teams into the newly opened nation.  Kathy, while home schooling their four children, helped to coordination children's ministries and community events among the local staff.
After returning to the States in 1997, they continued to work in YWAM's newly establish Strategic Missions Center in Colorado Springs, CO, for two years, after which time they felt compelled to leave full time ministry to devote more time to the transition of their family back into the United States.
When an opportunity to teach English in Turkmenistan presented itself in 2011, they returned overseas and remained in Central Asia until the door closed in 2019.  They are currently involved with a new work in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan), teaching English among the Sorani Kurds.
