You will find refuge in the secret place

“Saul now urged his servants and his son Jonathan to assassinate David. But Jonathan, because of his strong affection for David, told him what his father was planning. “Tomorrow morning,” he warned him, “you must find a hiding place out in the fields.”

Devotional:
In this story you see David trying to flee from the hand of King Saul because he was out to kill him. David knew that the only place for refuge would be in the secret place.
In Psalms 27:5 NKJV it says:
“For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
I don't know what you are going through, but there is safety in the place of refuge. The secret place is not only a place of refuge but also a place of intimacy. When you are alone in the secret place with the Lord, that is when He will speak and give you that word that you need. He will teach you what to do and what is to come. The Lord is asking will you seek Me in the secret place, because when you seek Me with all your heart you will find Me!
What you do in private will always be seen and will show up publicly. If you have been with the Father, it will be seen in what you do because you will have His nature.
Today make a decision to seek the Lord in the secret place, it doesn’t matter what you have done or what you are going through. What matters is that He is always waiting on you.
Prayer:
Lord I come before You to ask You to allow me to be sensitive to Your presence the moment I’m in the secret place. I declare that there is no refuge but in You! Who else could I run to if it is not You, for You are my refuge and my strength in whom I trust. I thank You Lord for always being with me and I pray this in Jesus’ name!
